I have recently installed NodeBB on my computer to play around. I set it up with the MongoDB database. I opened MongoDB Compass to try and change a document. I refreshed the website and even cleared my browser cache. It still didn't update the site (which is good and why NodeBB is blazing fast). I had to restart the node.js site for it to update on the site. My question is, how is this done? I'm 99% sure it doesn't use varnish or any caching tools. I'm assuming it's custom.
I have not tried anything yet due to my lack of knowledge. I'm assuming it's a very simple thing.
I haven't tried anything due to my lack of javascript.
I would like to make something stupid simple that caches content queried from a database and only refreshes after restarting the server.
