Icinga Version: 2.4.3

My Icinga config is quite large and I notice that during a scheduled reload that in icingaweb2 that the host and service groups disappear from hosts and services only to re-appear a few minutes later.

My guess would be that the relationships in the database are blown away during the reload and only show up after a full reload?

Hi mzac,

I think Icinga 2 just drops all database entries on reload and inserts them one after another. I move this to Icinga 2.

, Michi: Do we use truncate or delete from? Truncate is DDL so we can't benefit from transactions here. But delete is transaction-safe. We could also create new tables and rename them which is atomic.

If we use delete from, do we start a transaction on reload?
