Multiple maps

Question

Is it possible to have drawing occur simultaneously on multiple maps? Like if I drag a rectangle on one map, the rectangle is dragged across a second map as well?

If this is not possible, I do believe that converting the drawn shapes to geoJson and drawing them again on the other map may be sufficient. How do I grab the shapes I have drawn, so that I could then use those objects to draw on another map?

I have been working with a hacky way of doing this using a shapes array and adding or removing the shapes as they are drawn, then both maps redraw shapes whenever this happens, but it's very buggy. Also, the edit button is not enabled on the second map after the layer is added. do you have any suggestions of how to better sync drawing between two maps?
