I've been running v 4.0.8.3 (32 bit) and it's been working OK but decided to update
since I needed EOS 5D MkIII support.
I uninstalled v 4.0.8.3 and downloaded and installed v 4.0.9.50 (32 bit). It ran fine,
opened an EOS 5D MkIII .CR2 file just fine but crashed when trying to do a RAW conversion.
That's happened before and isn't the problem. I wasn't in the /3GB mode at the time.
I rebooted with the /3GB switch on and tried to run RT again and it crashed when trying
to load. So I uninstalled it, installed it again. It installed fine, but crashed again
when I tried to load it.
So I uninstalled it and tried v 4.0.9.15 (32 bit). Same result. Appears to install
fine but crashes before it loads.
So I went back the the first version v 4.0.8.3 which had been working OK. It installed
fine, but crashes every time I try to run it now it gives me a C++ Runtime error message.
I'm assuming that something has gotten written somewhere (registry??) that's corrupting
the program every time it tries to run now.
I'm using Windows XP SP3 (32 bit) and I've tried it both with and without the /3GB
switch. No difference.
Is this a known issue? Is there some file somewhere or some registry entry that might
be giving me this problem?
The event log just lists an application error (1000) and contains this data:
"Faulting application rawtherapee.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module rawtherapee.exe,
version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x003418cf"
This is the error message for all three versions I treid. All give the fault address
as 0x003418cf
Any help would be much appreciated. I tried a search here but couldn't find anything
helpful, but maybe I didn't use the right search terms?
