strange full system lockup when adding torrents to seedbox

What steps will reproduce the problem? 1.Install FreeBSD 7.2 amd64 2.install rutorrents 3.add torrent What is the expected output? What do you see instead? It works most of the time but for the last couple days when i add torrents from my laptop it locks up my seedbox. I'm not sure how to diagnose what is causing this but i'm still making a bug report because SOEMTHING is wrong. I'll check some logs. If you have any ideas of what else i should check let me know. The system becomes unresponsive but responds to pings, ssh never accepts...it's almost like stuff goes into a "stuck" state, and the only way to get back on is to force a hard reset (which is what caused my rss bug the other day) What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? svn, freebsd 7.2 rtorrent_devel from ports Please provide any additional information below.

i notice these in my lighttpd error log, perhaps it's related (it DID happen around the same time)
