1.5x nightly build prevent FF 3.5.3 on Linux from starting correctly

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install FF 3.5.3 on Ubuntu Linux 9.10
2. Install Firebug extension.
3. When prompted, tell FF to restart.
4. FF does not restart.
5. Attempt to launch FF. FF crashes on startup.

What is the expected result? What do you see instead?
 FF should restart correctly.


Which version of Firebug? (more specific than latest please):

I tried all of these versions:

Which version of Firefox? 3.5.3
On what operating system? Ubuntu Linux 9.10

In order to restore FF functionality, had to manually remove firebug directories in
~/.mozilla/firefox/extensions/
