RMI-IIOP load balancing
We are looking for RMI/IIOP loadbalancing in glassfish v2.1 or 2.1.1
The tomcat in the web-tier makes a RMI/IIOP calls to glassfish in business tier.
In tomcat, we used the following JVM option,
But it looks like the request always goes to node 1 (unless it fails)
Can you please let us know if we can load balance the request among all the cluster members?
Operating System: All Platform: All

Commented kcavanaugh said: Are you making a single call to new InitialContext() in the client? If so, the feature is working as intended. Essentially each call to new InitialContext() creates what amounts to a session, and all RMI-IIOP calls to object references obtained (recursively) from the initial context go to the same endpoint, unless there is a failure, in which case all further requests failover to another endpoint. In the failure case, all requests will in fact go to the same endpoint.
RMI-IIOP load balancing is intended to handle load balancing of many different clients at the server, not of many requests coming from a single client.
If I have misunderstood your scenario, please supply more details and re-open this issue.点赞 评论 复制链接分享
