Launcher crashes when installing.. Mac OS X 10.7.5

Hey.. My launcher crashes when I am trying to install either A or the B mod pack.. It looks like it is crashing when it is extracting the files... It crashes so quickly so i can't copy the crash/installing/downloading log thingy...

Thanks in advance...

PS: I know it is super-mega-pre-alpha atm, but I want to know if there is any way to solve this:DS

I think I am getting the same error. If I run the Launcher through the console I get this error message:

2012-10-30 16:22:40 [INFO] [STDOUT] LWJGL Version: 2.4.2 _NSJVMLoadLibrary: NSAddLibrary failed for /libjawt.dylib JavaVM FATAL: lookup of function JAWT_GetAWT failed. Exit

    Full Error: http://pastebin.com/1w6q3mub

I am using OS X 10.8.2 and java version 1.7.0_09.

Should be fixed in latest build, if it isn't feel free to re-open this issue.

Rolling back to Java 6 works for me still, here's a simple shell script to run the launcher with 6, even if 7 is installed. I'm on OS X 10.8.2

    location of jar...

    cd /Applications/Games/Minecraft/ /usr/libexec/java_home -v 1.6.0_37 --exec Java -Xmx3072m -Xdock:name="FTB Launcher" -jar FTB_Launcher.jar

:l if i find out a way to fix it i might write an automated code to launch it. Like i did to launch a mine craft_server.jar to launch with more ram, i hated opening terminal every time to do it.

If you save the code I provided as a shell script, you can simply run that to launch it. Note that you may need to adjust your java version slightly as Apple has put out some java updates (the Apple release is now at 1.6.0_41 I believe).

I'm using Mountain Lion (10.8.3) and Java 7. I'm getting the same error(JavaVM FATAL: lookup of function JAWT_GetAWT failed.) as the people 5 months ago. Any help?

See my earlier comment. Apple's on java version 1.6.0_43 now I believe, so just make sure you're up to date and use the same commands and it will launch.

I used this shell script in an automator app:

    /usr/libexec/java_home -v "1.6*" --exec Java -Xmx2048m -Xdock:name="FTB Launcher" -jar /Applications/FTB_Launcher.jar

Good call on the pattern matching for the Java version. Also, I have since realized there's no point in using the -Xmx flag to increase the max useable memory, since that is for the launcher only, the actual game runs in a separate instance of Java and has its max memory set in the launcher's GUI.
