No way to refresh comments without hiding comments

Ideally, comments would be a bit more dynamic, so that they would automatically refresh when there were changes. However, failing that, there is currently no way I can see to reload the comments that doesn't hide the comments, meaning keeping up with a discussion is at least a two-click process, one to reload the page, the other to show the comments area.

You can refresh by adding a new comment, which is great for people who love commenting, but otherwise not ideal.

Yes, we might consider a websockets or polling approach to this. Ideally the former.

    • This will eventually be one of the primary features of the notifications system. Adding a comment will push the comment to other users online and also trigger a notification informing the user that a new comment has been made. Because of this, the protocol we use for pushing comments will probably overlap significantly (if not entirely) with the API of the notifications system.

I just spoke with - a refresh button didn't happen this time around. Leaving this open, but moving to "deferred"
