Guidelines on how to generate specular environment maps using LYS?

LYS seems to be great (commercial) tool to generate specular environment maps.

However, it has a lot of properties to tweak.

Would anyone know what the correct settings are to generate glTF PBR specular environment maps?

    I'm not familiar with that package.

    You may have seen this already, but the Readme file of this project has an Environment Map section where the author talks about using IBL Baker (source code), which is free. BabylonJS has been ingesting the DDS files output by this program for a while now, and it looks like ThreeJS might be adding DDS support too.

    Yes, but last time we tried we had troubles getting IBL Baker working. We'll try again, thanks for the feedback!

    I've been using https://github.com/dariomanesku/cmftStudio and https://github.com/dariomanesku/cmft as a cross-platform alternative to IBL Baker.

    FWIW, I've found that when saving out from IBLBaker I have to manually add the .dds file extension to my save file dialog. It doesn't actually use the name I type in, instead it strips off the .dds part and adds its own EnvHDR.dds and such names on the end. But if I don't put the file extension on there it won't save anything.

    Good to have alternatives. The cmftStudio thing mentioned by looks cool, I'll have to find some time to try it out too.
