 Hit or Miss
 One very simple type of solitaire game known as ��Hit or Miss�� (also known as ��Frustration,�� ��Harvest,�� ��RollCall,�� ��Talkative��, and ��Treize��) is played as follows: take a standard deck of 52 playing cards  four sets of cards numbered 1 through 13 (suits do not matter in this game) which have been shuffled  and start counting through the deck 1, 2, 3, . . . , and so on. When your count reaches 13, start over at 1. Each time you count, look at the top card of the deck and do one of two things: if the number you count matches the value of the top card, discard it from the deck; if it does not match it, move that card to the bottom of the deck. You win the game if you are able to remove all cards from the deck (which may take a very long time). A version of this game can be devised for two or more players. The first player starts as before with a 52 card deck, while the other players have no cards initially. As the first player removes cards from her deck, she gives them to the second player, who then starts playing the same game, starting at count 1. When that player gets a match, he passes his card to the third player, and so on. The last player discards matches rather than passing them to player 1. All players who have cards to play with perform the following 2step cycle of moves in lockstep: 1. Each player says his or her current count value and checks for a match.  In Defence of a Garden
 Description It's said that "Necessity is the mother of invention," but some people think that "Laziness" is a more likely parent. Hubert Greenthumb hated digging fence posts. But he knew that, without a fence around his garden, deer from the nearby woods would eat his vegetables before he could harvest them. Being something of a tinkerer, he retired to his workshop with a small garden tractor, some outofdate computer chips, and a couple of robot arms he had picked up at a bankruptcy auction from a failed ".com" hightech company. After two days of work, he emerged as the proud inventor of the Greenthumb Automatic Garden Fence Layer (pat. pending). To his skeptical wife (who observed that he could easily have built the fence in half the time it took to construct this machine), he explained that he needed only to program in the desired fence shape, and the machine would proceed to chug around the yard, laying down a fence in 1foot sections until the job had been completed. Hubert proceeded to key in instructions to enclose a square area, 25 feet on a side, of his 100' by 100' yard. He set the machine to operating and went inside for a celebratory drink. When he emerged, he discovered that the machine had laid down fence in an elaborate, possibly random walk about his lawn. Unwilling to actually admit that anything had gone wrong, he announced his intention to plant within the garden actually laid out by the machine, as if he had wanted it that way all along. Any section of the yard that was no longer accessible to the deer (enclosed by the fence) would be considered as garden space. "Fine," sighed his wife, "but we'll need to know just how many square feet of garden we have so that we can buy an appropriate amount of seeds." Hubert gamely began to trace out the fence laid down by the machine. "Let's see, it went North for 5 feet, then West for 3 feet, ..." Note: Hubert's yard can be divided into a grid of 100 × 100 feet, with each grid box being 1 foot by 1 foot. The robot moves along the edges of the boxes. It is a date that parallels the autumnal equinox of the solar calendar, when the moon is at its fullest and roundest. The traditional food of this festival is the mooncake. Chinese family members and friends will gather to admire the bright midautumn harvest moon, and eat mooncakes under the moon together. In Chinese, “round”(圆) also means something like “faultless” or “reuion”, so the roundest moon, and the round mooncakes make the Zhongqiu Festival a day of family reunion. Alice has opened up a 24hour mooncake shop. She always gets a lot of orders. Only when the time is K o’clock sharp( K = 0,1,2 …. 23) she can make mooncakes, and We assume that making cakes takes no time. Due to the fluctuation of the price of the ingredients, the cost of a mooncake varies from hour to hour.  Problem Description It’s harvest season now! Farmer John plants a lot of corn. There are many birds living around his corn field. These birds keep stealing his corn all the time. John can't stand with that any more. He decides to put some scarecrows in the field to drive the birds away. John's field can be considered as an N×N grid which has N×N intersections. John plants his corn on every intersection at first. But as time goes by, some corn were destroyed by rats or birds so some vacant intersections were left. Now John wants to put scarecrows on those vacant intersections and he can put at most one scarecrow on one intersection.
