The issue I face is that my client would like an email campaign sent out every time a blog is posted via RSS. Getting that to work is not the issue, the problem that I am facing is that the images are not showing up on the email campaigns because the image paths are relative. They have to be be converted to absolute paths directly on the RSS feed.
I looked all over the internet and could not find a solution to my specific issue. There are is the str_replace() function, but I cannot seem to make it work.

Whenever I plug in the code to the RSS document and change the perimeters of the code, nothing happens.
