I have tried again and again from writing modules to hacking together some code and editing the shipment api, which saved tracking in the sendEmail() method (i know that's bad, i reverted it) and still have yet to find a solution to this issue.
currently we have the site setup so we send out the order information to a quickbooks intermediary and then receive it via xmlrpc as a shipped order. the weird thing is, the tracking information never gets sent with the shipping email and always comes up as a custom tracking number even though it is a UPS number. Am I crazy here, or am I completely missing something ? I've overthought this to the point of mild insanity. Any direction would be great.
edit: we are using the fishbowl quickbook integration.
