I have two directories pointing to one sub-directory. One is a student directory and the other is the teacher, the teacher has the ability to add projects to the database where the student does not. Currently the database stores the URLs for the project pages sitting in teacher, and when the student clicks the button that directs them to the teacher folder (does the same for the teacher if I link the student folder projects). My issue is if I were to take it out of either folder I would not be sure on how to direct back to the student/teacher directory depending on which one the viewer was in.
Database connection:
<?php
$db_host = 'localhost'; // Server Name
$db_user = 'root'; // Username
$db_pass = ''; // Password
$db_name = 'database'; // Database Name
$conn = mysqli_connect($db_host, $db_user, $db_pass, $db_name);
if (!$conn) {
die ('Failed to connect to MySQL: ' . mysqli_connect_error());
}
$sql = 'SELECT * FROM tbl_example';
$query = mysqli_query($conn, $sql);
if (!$query) {
die ('SQL Error: ' . mysqli_error($conn));
}
?>
Go to project:
<a href="<?php echo $row['link'] ?>"><button class="button" >Go To Project</button></a>
Return to directory from project:
<a href="../index.php">Home</a>
<a href="../projects.php">Projects</a>
