Hopefully I can explain this correctly:
I have a custom plugin that uses Easy Digital Downloads Software Licensing to provide automatic updates. When this custom plugin is installed on the same WordPress as the parent Easy Digital Downloads (installed on https://websiteurl.com, request calls same https://websiteurl.com), the update check doesn't fire.
At first, I thought it was a code issue, but then I tested from a different WordPress and the API call works perfectly.
I then went back and tested a plain wp_remote_get call to and from the same WordPress URL, no response.
Is there a reason WordPress cannot call upon itself?
Tested from multiple WordPress sites Tested wp_remote_get calls Deactivated theme and plugins to rule out conflicts Screamed a little
Is there a workaround? I would like to be able to use the same EDD updater that customers will use to update itself as well.
