I am developing a niche marketplace with WordPress where business "a" & "b" can post jobs that other businesses can bid on.
Nothing fancy about that, but I am stuck with a dilemma, the jobs the businesses can post are custom post types, and they have their own custom taxonomies.
As I am developing this further now, I see a need for developing different forms for the taxonomy terms. Instead of having one universal front end form that submits the post, I need taxonomy term "cars" to have different fields than taxonomy term "lights".
What I can't seem to figure out is the best way to accomplish this without adding a ton of custom fields to the post types and only using a few of them in each category. That seems "messy". And having 20 custom post types also seems reduntant.
I'll break it down so that you see what I'm after. Custom post type "a": Vehicles, and Custom post type "b: Houses. Each of these cpt's have multiple taxonomies attached to them with terms like: "apartements","4WD" etc.
I am searching for a proven method (best practise) to display different forms to each of these categories at the front end, so that the Vehicle -> 4WD get's detailed content and not just the universal Vehicle post fields.
I hope I've explained it. I dont have any code, becaouse thats not my problem, my problem is how I could get this working the best possible way regarding best practises and optimization. Thanks.
