Question

So, I know this is a kind of an open-ended question, but your input would help me decide.

I am building a web app that's used to search for people. After the user searches for people in a certain field they will get a list of people showing only minimal details for each person.

My Question is, when the user clicks on a person, should they get full details in the same page or a different page. (Responsive web app BTW)

Does any of the two methods affect server-load positively or negatively?

I am building the web app using Bootstrap(Front-end) and PHP & MySQL (Back-end).
