I am working on an eCommerce site, on an ubuntu server 14.04, using Prestashop as I have done in the past. And I have loaded my product list up in the past, just trying to reinstall after my virtual server provider had an issue with the server cluster I was on and moved me to a new server cluster.
When I was in the middle of an import of .csv file of products, in the middle of the CSV import I received an error that it could not connect to the database, and the 2nd half of products was not added.
Then when going to webpages I noticed this error:
Link to database cannot be established: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (111)
I'm not sure what could have caused this, it does not make sense that it is the file itself it was literally in the middle of an import that was working fine before then? What else could cause this error?
Could it be too many database entries that caused this? Or some sort of invalid entry?
No idea how to repair this issue. Hope someone can help.
