I am completely new to developing and to Wordpress, so please be patient!!
I am using XAMPP on my Mac and have developed a local Wordpress website. I have never used plug-ins before, but I just installed and activated Contact Form 7. I've made a contact form and am trying to place it on my Contact Page. The shortcode for the form is [contact-form-7 id="13" title="Main Contact Form"].
When I put the following on my contact page I see this on the website: Fatal error: Call to undefined function do_shortcode(). and it also deletes my footer.
What am I doing wrong? I'm not sure if I need to have something in my functions.php file or something else. Again, I'm a newbie, sorry!
