I need all my entities to extend an abstract class that is not an mapped-superclass. Manually this is perfectly possible, but I don't know how to achieve this when automatically generating classes. In this case I'm using xml-mapping, but it is a applicable to all mapping types. The only options I have are:
<entity ...
</entity>
and
<mapped-superclass ...
</mapped-superclass>
I can't define a normal class or define what class an entity should extend.
I also already had a look at the TABLE_PER_CLASS inheritance type, but that functionality is not implemented. Don't know if it will be implemented in the future.
