I'm really stuck here. I've tried various method but to no avail.
What i'm trying to achieve is to insert the actual character representation of the html entities into mssql database.
From php page, i use mb_convert_encoding to convert this into actual character, which is ▲ That is fine. However, when i try to insert into database, this symbol ▲ becomes â–²
The html entities of ▲ is ▲ and â–²; is actually â–²
How is that possible? What is happening here?
I was thinking of using ob_get_content() to get the actual character from echo but that doesn't work as well. What i end up is the html entity. Is it possible what i'm trying to achieve here?
