覆盖PHP上的现有图像文件

Question

I'm currently trying to update an image on my database.

For instance, lets say $fileName is "test.jpg" , in which the database already has an image with that name, how do I overwrite that particular image? I've tried the below statement, but it failed.

$file = fopen($fileName, 'wb');
