Can any one tell me why this code doesn't work?

"$p = $_GET['p'];
echo '<link rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\" href=\"styles.php?id=$p\">';
");

Is this what you are meaning to do?

$p = (int)$_GET['p'];
echo '<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="styles.php?id='.$p.'">';
