This question already has an answer here:
I am creating an API application in php.
Part of my application allows for the setting of the http_response_code
.
Setting the http_response_code(200)
returns a JSON message correctly.
Setting http_response_code(404)
is causing a 500 internal server error.
I have created a single php test page that only includes the line http_response_code(404)
; the 500 error is displaying.
Is there a setting in php that needs to be configured for the http_response_code
to work correctly?
I am running Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7. My current version of PHP is 7.
The testing php file just has a sigle line
<?php
http_response_code(404);
?>
web.config file
<location path="" overrideMode="Allow"> <system.webServer> <httpErrors errorMode="Custom" defaultResponseMode="File"> <remove statusCode="500" subStatusCode="-1" /> <error statusCode="500" prefixLanguageFilePath="%SystemDrive%\inetpub\custerr" path="500.htm" responseMode="File" /> </httpErrors> </system.webServer> </location>
</div>
