I have a Laravel PHP application that I have been able to run on AWS Beanstalk. The issue I'm running into is that I have a MySQL RDS running on AWS. I have done the work in my database.php config file that allows me to connect to the RDS Database but now my localhost database does not work.
Is there a best practice in terms of how to test code and database queries on my local machine and then to be able to push that code to AWS and have that utilize the remote DB? Am I going about this wrong and should only be using the RDS Database? If so, how would I go about that? Thank you!
