Question

I have 2 buttons.

Button A: A button. Button B: Submit button.

What I am trying to do is, when user clicks on button A, it will send him a link. But he won't be able to submit using button B until 8 seconds has passed since when he clicked on button A.

I am not to sure if its possible to do with PHP, is it? If not, how would I do this with jQuery?

Maybe set a date on click using jQuery like var futureTime = time+8sec. if (!futureTime) { echo this }

You should be able to do something like this:

$("button#a").click(function(){
   $("button#b").prop('disabled', true);
   setTimeout(function(){ 
        $("button#b").prop('disabled', false); 
   }, 8000);
});

If by sending a link you mean "open a new page", then you can add just this to your load script on the page being open:

   $("button#b").prop('disabled', true);
   setTimeout(function(){ 
         $("button#b").prop('disabled', false); 
   }, 8000);
