I am trying to create a database display that displays data from MongoDB in an HTML table. On one column I want a drop down option that can be selected by user and updated in the DB.
I can't seem to get the value selected by user.
I have created a table in PHP that's accessing the DB and displaying the values. I created the select dropdown similar to this PHP get dropdown value and text
$data .= '<td><select id="l" name="l"><option value="0" selected>-- Assign Value --</option><option value="1">Cat</option><option value="2">Mouse</option><option value="3">Dog</option></select></td>';
$assign = array('-- Assign Value --','Cat','Mouse','Dog');
$selected= $assign[$_POST['l']];
$document['l']=$selected;
Finally I am displaying the $data.
All other values are displayed correctly.
Obviously selected can't access the 'l' item and is showing Notice: Undefined index: l error.
A possible solution to get the value selected from drop down by user and update it in the MongoDB will be appreciated.
